Heaven’s trial to reincarnation

In this dream, I found myself in heaven where Jesus presided over a trial determining who would return to the mortal realm. (Interestingly, despite being raised Buddhist and identifying as a freethinker, Jesus was the one who appeared in my dream—making me wonder if I had deeper beliefs in him.) Anyways, the setting was a room filled with people at various stages of their lives. Among them, there was a woman who seemed to trust me, and she hid her cat under my shirt (don’t ask why, I don’t know either, a peculiar detail that, like much of my dreams, defies logic). Other animals like panthers, dogs, and snakes were also present .A bowl of soup appeared, which I considered a safe choice, though its significance to anything remained unclear.

When the gates opened, I jumped down multiple flights of stairs to reach the bottom, where we were challenged to list the top 10 kindest and cruellest actions we had committed, all within a strict time limit. After successfully completing the task, my family and I were granted entry to what seemed like reincarnation. Before we could leave, a guard asked if we were willing to forget everything from our previous lives and start completely anew. I’m unsure if we did end up reincarnating, as the dream seemed to end there.
